Advice about Private Podiatry

Why might I need private podiatry care?

Suffolk Podiatry is here to provide care for those patients with a higher risk of foot complications or who have active foot disease requiring quick access to spacialist care in line with the National Institue of Clinical Excellence (NICE).

This means that we do not provide the following routine treatments:

 - Routine Toenail Cutting

 - Treatment for Verrucas

 - Treatment for fungal infections such as Athlete's foot and fungal toenails.

For verrucas & Fungal infections you may want to consult your pharmacist, or you may want to see a private podiatrist particularly if you need help cutting toenails. 

How do I find a properly qualified podiatrist?

"Podiatrist" and "Chiropodist" are protected titles and anyone calling themself a Podiatrist or Chiropodist is required to be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).

Many Podiatrists are also members of the College of Podiatry. The College offer a search facility to help you find a suitable podiatrist near you. Please click on the link below to visit their site:
