Community Equipment Service (CES), Wheelchair Service, Enabling Services

Community equipment and wheelchair services

Our community equipment service, provided by Medequip, provides patients with specialist equipment, such as hoists and grab rails, to help them remain independent for longer. Our NHS clinicians carry out assessments of people's individual needs in their home environment.

In addition, we also offer a wheelchair service which includes full clinical assessment so that we can make sure patients have the right wheelchair to meet their needs. Please click here to access comprehensive information about the Suffolk Wheelchair Service. This includes eligibility criteria, referral information and frequently asked questions.

There is one telephone number to contact equipment and wheelchair services: 01473 351805.

Please note this is also the telephone number to ring if you wish to return any items of equipment that are no longer needed.
